Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of all materials, tools, and equipment in the store.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure that stock levels are accurate and uptodate.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as necessary to avoid shortages.
- Receive deliveries of materials and equipment, and inspect them for quality and quantity.
- Verify that delivered items match purchase orders and report any discrepancies or damages.
- Organize the storage area to ensure that items are stored in an orderly and easily accessible manner.
- Label and categorize items to facilitate easy retrieval and inventory management.
- Implement proper storage practices to prevent damage or deterioration of materials.
- Issue materials, tools, and equipment to site personnel as required.
- Maintain records of items issued, including details of the recipient and the purpose of use.
- Ensure that returned items are in good condition and properly accounted for.
- Ensure that the storage area complies with safety regulations and standards.
- Implement safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the storage area.
- Store hazardous materials in accordance with safety guidelines and regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including receipts, issues, returns, and adjustments.
- Prepare regular reports on stock levels, usage, and inventory discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials.
- Provide feedback on inventory levels and material requirements to aid in procurement planning.
- Ensure that tools and equipment are properly maintained and serviced.
- Keep records of maintenance schedules and repairs.
- Monitor and control the usage of materials to minimize waste and reduce costs.
- Implement measures to prevent loss, theft, and damage to materials and equipment.
- Identify opportunities for improving inventory management and storage practices.
- Implement best practices and new technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the storekeeping process.
